Hi, We’re Mike & Dan and we run theOptionWiz. Between us, we have over 29 years of stock and options trading experience.
For theOptionsWiz, our basic premise is to take advantage of the fact that nearly 80% of all options expire worthless. So, given that most options expire worthless, we put the odds in our favor by putting an emphasis on collecting premiums from selling options rather than just simply buying a straight call or put.
A little more about each of us:
Dan began his career as an institutional trader at Sutro & Company in 1993, specializing in trading equities for institutions, hedge funds and pension plans. While at Sutro, Dan rose to Vice President of Institutional Trading, which encompassed equities, Initial Public offerings, Secondary offerings, etc. Following the sale of Sutro in 2000 to The Royal Bank of Canada, Dan was Vice President of Institutional trading at Sanders Morris Harris (SMHG). Dan is a Registered Investment Advisor.
Mike has been trading equities since 1998 and became an active options trader in 2003. Mike has significant experience in various options trading strategies including covered calls, calendar spreads, vertical spreads, diagonal spreads, straddles, strangles, butterflies and iron condor spreads. Mike is also a Registered Investment Advisor.
